On July 25, 2026, the Ukrainian Research Integrity Office officially became a member of the International Center for Academic Integrity.
For the UkrRIO team, joining this respected international network is both a profound honour and an important responsibility. This milestone reflects the growing contribution of Ukrainian experts to the development of fair, transparent, and high-quality educational and research practices. It also strengthens Ukraine’s voice in the international dialogue on academic and research integrity.
Membership in ICAI creates new opportunities for UkrRIO to exchange knowledge with researchers, educators, administrators, and academic integrity practitioners from different countries. It provides access to international expertise, educational resources, analytical tools, professional discussions, and potential partnerships.
Together with our international colleagues, the Ukrainian Research Integrity Office will continue promoting responsible academic and research practices, supporting the development of effective institutional policies, preventing and addressing academic misconduct, strengthening transparency and trust in education and research, and fostering a culture in which integrity is a fundamental and non-negotiable standard.
This achievement is the result of the commitment and dedicated work of the entire UkrRIO team. We also express our sincere gratitude to the ICAI Board of Directors, Blaire Wilson, Greer Murphy, Jason Stephens, Professor Mary Davis, Christian Moriarty, and all ICAI Board members for supporting Ukraine during this difficult and courageous period and for welcoming UkrRIO into the global academic integrity community.
Joining ICAI is not only recognition of the work already accomplished. It is a new responsibility and a new opportunity to contribute to international initiatives, strengthen professional partnerships, and ensure that Ukraine’s experience and perspective are represented in global discussions on academic and research integrity.
